Dr. Allison Britt Kimmins, MD., MPH completed her undergraduate training from Rosemont College where she received a degree in Biology. From there she studied at Yale University, where she earned a master’s in Public Health and Infectious Disease.
After gaining a better knowledge of clinical research, she went on to complete her medical degree at Thomas Jefferson Medical College where also completed her residency training in Dermatology.
Her passion for nutrition developed about 15 years into the practice of dermatology. The journey to find her niche in the Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (LSM) has taken many twists and turns. She continues to study nutrition and LSM.
She has earned a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet certificate (WFPBD) from the T. Collin Campbell Center at Cornell University and is working towards completing a Post Master’s Certificate from MUIH/Notre Dame University.
She been a member of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine since 2017 and recently graduated from their program to become a Food for Life Instructor (FFL).
Presently, Dr. Britt teaches on-line and in person classes about the benefits of eating a WFPBD.
